Go (Albuquerque) Thunderbirds!

The NBA announced the Developmental League affiliations today.

But all we care about is where our kids are gonna get assigned, and which teams would also send their kids there:

Albuquerque Thunderbirds
  • Phoenix Suns
  • Sacramento Kings
  • Seattle SuperSonics
  • Utah Jazz

The T-birds are coached by Michael Cooper, the ex-LA Lakers player/LA Sparks coach/Denver Nuggets interim coach.

Albuquerque will be great for conditioning. Then again, it also has a high rate of alcoholism, so you never know, especially with the frenchie.

This is apropos of nothing, but the current espn.com headline reads:

"Tribe On a Quest" - in reference to Cleveland's drive for the AL Central title.

Am I the only one who feels old knowing that headline writers are now referencing A Tribe Called Quest? What's next, "Mets Wrecks and Effects"?

?uestlove is everywhere these days, so you shouldn't feel out of the loop. If it makes you feel any better, I can almost assure you that Danny Ferry didn't get that joke.

A lot of ones are saying the addition of James will do little for the Knicks center problems, so I guess they're smart here..

from insidehoops.com

"Serbia-Montenegro basketball coach Zeljko Obradovic resigned Wednesday after his team's early exit from the European Championship and a locker room brawl between several teammates. France beat Serbia-Montenegro 74-71 Tuesday to reach the quarterfinals, eliminating the hosts and reigning world champions with a 2-2 record. Team captain Dejan Bodiroga, center Zeljko Rebraca of the Los Angeles Clippers and Dejan Tomasevic also announced they were quitting the national squad. Obradovic blamed the team's "catastrophic play" on his feuding players. He said Marko Jaric of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Igor Rakocevic of Real Madrid had a fist fight after the loss to France, as did Tomasevic and forward Vladimir Radmanovic of the Seattle SuperSonics. "The players had bad personal relations, their egos led to this shameful end," Obradovic said. "My mistake was not throwing three or four of them off the team. They hate each other so much that they don't even look at each other. I've never seen such people before." AP/Michigan Live
