According to Frank Hughes at Sports Illustrated, yes.
Hughes reports a charity game is in the works for this summer, featuring such luminaries as Ray Allen, Jamal Crawford, Brandon Roy, and Jason Terry. Allen was reportedly working with Detlef Schrempf (among many unnamed others, I'm sure) to help ensure the event happens. A possible Gary Payton jersey retirement is also in the works.
Honestly, it's hard to find any flaws in the idea, other than the fact that the NBA has to sign off on allowing its players to participate.
