You Have Got To Be Kidding

Here's the headline from SBNation:

Clay Bennett Named Head of NBA Relocation Committee

Words can't ... I'm just .... f^#@ me. Just f^#@ me. Just when I thought I couldn't despise David Stern any more he goes and does this. The man is unbelievable.

Yeah, this just further adds more frustration to things.

Fortunately, there will be a massive lockout, and from that a lot of important NBA events will stem.

So I guess we wait and...hope.

I hope you're right, but I'm skeptical there will be a lockout. I'm not hoping there won't be one, but just skeptical.

And David Stern sucks. Lest I forget to mention.

From what I understand, Stern also put Charles Barkley in charge of the league's recently created Personal Finances Advisory Committee.

The NBA is a joke (as it is currently).

Anyone know what happened to the Sonics Central site? Can't seem to access it anymore.

Sonicscentral was hacked. At least thats what kevin pelton mentioned on twitter. Right now when you try to go there it says that and that the archived posts and comments will be lost when the site gets back up.

According to Kevin Pelton, it's been hacked. Best of luck to those guys getting it back up and running - and a big thumbs down to the losers who messed it up. I want my SC talk!

Working hard to to get SC.com back and running, some idiot screwed it all up but it should be back soon.

Good to hear Sonicsman. Was starting to get a little restless.

It's an outrage, but on a selfish note, I could see a scenario where this could actually help Seattle get a team. Bennett and Stern are soulless (so I guess they can't come to SupersonicSoul, haha) but they might see relocating a team to Seattle as a way to get everyone off their back. It could even be a way to show, "hey, see, Clay is a good guy and him being the head of this committee isn't a bad idea." I hate this, but if I have to eat a shit sandwich, I can at least hope for some BBQ sauce.

I think there is a lot of confusion on the relocation deal with Clay Bennett. The relocation committee is only created when a team is looking to relocate at a particular time. Bennett is only in charge of the Relocation of the Kings not all future relocation. For each case a team is formed and a person is named the Chair for that group. Does not mean he would be in charge of a team that was looking to relocate to Seattle.

HA HA HA HA HA! Damn, Joshu@, that last line was funny as hell! I laughed so hard DROOL actually came out of my mouth. I think Clay Clay running this show is the dumbest moves Lord Helmet has made since he secretly helped to engineer the theft of our Sonics. But I too, have thought it might be a way to get everyone off of his and Clay Clay's backs by bringing the Sonics back here.
Fingers crossed... :)

Brian was calling it quits... Probably a good time to just let SonicsCentral die a quiet, unceremonious death.

@Sonicsman, thanks for the clarification. I thought that was the case, but got some bad info from somebody else.

bennet owes the team 30 million if we have a viable arena for a basketball team by 2013 and if dont get a team provided....

Anonymous, I don't think you appreciate how devastating the SC hacking is/was. Not only does it rip apart a community of fans, it also destroyed thousands of hours of research by the APBR crowd.

Bottom line, if Brian/Kevin whomever wants to end SC, that's fine. But it should be THEIR call, not some nameless a-hole who decided to destroy something just for fun.
