Hold the Mayo

Boy, it's too bad the Sonics didn't have something of value to deal to Minnesota, so that they might have walked away from the draft with 3rd-most talented player (OJ Mayo) in exchange for a guy they didn't want (Kevin Love).

You know, maybe a large expiring contract, or perhaps a defensive-minded point guard who can shoot the three.

Yeah, you always hold onto guys like those until a great deal comes along and sweeps you off your feet.

  1. I you hit it on the head buddy. Should've never traded Wally and West in the first place. They were good trade bait. We definitely had enough to pull a Mayo deal.
I've been so mad at the Westbrook pick, this makes me even madder.

  2. We changed Ray Allen into Jeff Green, Ira Newble, Donyell Marshall, and Adrian Griffin.
That deal couldn't even go through an NBA Live trade.

  3. The Ray Allen deal was doomed to be a failure from the onset. I was one of just a few guys around the blogosphere who called it, too.
