Not In Our House (Sigh . . . )

A bittersweet gift from Supersonicsoul reader Joe:
Official "Not In Our House" Music Video with Sir Mix-A-Lot. I was the producer and editor of the video and just found the tape in my garage last week. Brings back memories for sure. Just thought you'd like to see it.

Joe
Too many cameos to mention but a few favorites: Bob Kloppenburg and the Fabulous Sports Babe. The mind boggles . . .

That's the first time I've smiled while thinking about basketball in three years! Thanks Paul and (especially) Joe for dropping that on us this morning. Can't believe Scheff was part of the crew on that video. It's easy to rip him, but it took a lot of guts to stick with it all the way through. Was that Gerald Paddio in the middle? I'm seeing Michael Cage, Scheff, Paddio, GP, and Eddie Johnson (?) left to right. Maybe I'm off on those. Anyone else?

I'm with Ryan that this video was a real delight. Kudos to Paul and Joe for sharing.

Hey, speaking of assistants (we weren't, but, hey) did you know Tim Grugrich is a sort-of assistant with the Mavericks? How wonderful would it be to see one of the great parts of those fantastic Sonic teams (as well as his latter-day compatriot, Dwayne Casey) involved in shutting down OKC in the WCF? A certain poetic justice, no?

Hey - can someone unearth the '96 (or '97?) anthem "Who's King Up In The Westside" also by Mix-A-Lot? That was baller!

Wow, never heard that one before. I wasn't living in the NW at the time, so I missed out on some of that stuff. Paul, Raf?

All traces of "Westside" seem to have vanished from the interwebs, but I did dig up this one from '98 (which I don't remember either):

The Quiet Riot one is fine, but I want to hear Who's King Up in the Westside. C'mon Sonic fans, help me out! Somebody's got to have an old tape lying around they can somehow transfer to digital, right?

I never knew that the great Steve Scheffler was one of the background singers! And check out the sweater on Gerald Paddio (I believe).
