Flip Murray re-signed with the Seattle Supersonics yesterday, inking a one-year deal with the team.
According to the Seattle Times, the Sonics offered Murray a multi-year deal similar to the one
The Omen signed but, like
Radman, he turned it down. Good move, Flip! Have fun working at a
taco wagon next year with
Latrell Sprewell.
In less exciting news, after taking pretty much the entire summer off for
paternity leave, I have re-signed with Supersonicsoul. Terms were not disclosed, but it is believed to be a long-term contract worth at least four tacos.

Paul, I'm suprised you didn't take the one-year (chicken) tender offer.

Nice to see you back where you belong, Paul. Count me in the "Whatever" corner on this one. Whether the Sonics have Flip or not isn't really that vital to the team's playoff chances. Yes, it's nice to have Flip for a game or two if Allen goes down; but let's face it, if Sugar Ray misses more than half a dozen games, this season is toast anyway.

*If restricted free-agent Reggie Evans re-signs with the Supersonics by agreeing to the qualifying offer, which is for one-year worth $1 million, then Rick Sund needs to thereby trade Danny Fortson -- as well as those useless foreigners: Peter Fehse, Mickaƫl Gelabale, & Paccelis Morlende -- for an overpaid stiff with an expiring contract (e.g., center Scot Pollard of the Indiana Pacers). Immediately thereafter, the team would waive, and subsequently release after having gone through waivers unclaimed, Pollard.
2005-2006 Projected Roster:
C Vitaly Potapenko [12 m.p.g.]

Anyone have a take on Tim Grgurich wanting out of Portland?

Looks like Nate's cleaning house down in Portland. Any value for us to acquire someone like him as an assistant?
