More Stadia

I know I've been riding this horse particularly hard recently, but I thought this bit of back-and-forth from the Times' Bob Young worth reading:

"[Howard] Schultz has touted a Sonics' study, which shows the team adds more than $200 million to the local economy through spending by fans, players and the team.

"Seattle Center has hired economist Bill Beyers to check the Sonics' claim and conduct his own study. Beyers recently told the task force the Sonics' analysis overstated the team's impact and was 'not a good study.'

"Beyers is scheduled to present his report to Della's committee on Wednesday."

Count me among those curious to see what data Mr. Beyers produces. I'm guessing his figures will be slightly less than one Howard Schultz'.

Radman for Wilcox. Good deal for you Sonics. I was hoping the Blazers might be able to snag Wilcox.

Yeah, not a bad little deal.

Anything to get rid of Vlade. Wilcox was hot stuff coming out of college, but playing behind Elton Brand isn't the best way to come through the NBA at the PF position. Maybe he'll blow up here like he was expected too. I love this trade. Is this the start of the greatest Clipper collapse of all time?

I didn't know that Wilcox was a point guard...
Glad they listened to Coach.
Seriously though, I really hope this is a beginning of some exciting deals! Oh yeah, this is the Sonics, the only deal they are concerned about is getting a "better" arena.
Who gets less minutes? Johan or Swift?

WTF?? How does this help us?

I am going to miss his defensive intensity as much as the Sonics did! I just wish we could have found a way to send Flip along with him.
