Seattle under suicide watch as Sonics lose again.

I'm too depressed to write about it. I'll let Yahoo! fill you in on the gruesome details:
Rookie Kevin Durant had 25 points for Seattle, 12 of them in the final 6:05. But it wasn't enough to overcome a 15-point fourth-quarter deficit.

"They made it closer than I thought they were going to," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. "I didn't like the way we finished up. We had a 15-point lead, then we were wandering around defensively and started doing some things I didn't like. It's the sign of a young team that's still unbridled and still undisciplined. I'm not happy with that game, but it was a win."

The Sonics are a league-worst 2-13 in their first season under coach P.J. Carlesimo -- matching the poorest start in franchise history. They began their inaugural 1967-68 season 2-14 under Al Bianchi. Seattle has lost 14 consecutive games against Western Conference teams, including five last season.

Read the rest (if you dare) here.

just visiting here from goldenstateofmind.con...ive always liked the makeup of your team and its potential (especially wilcox and west) after watching (and betting) on a couple of sonics games, its clear that carlesimo is not the right coach for your team..maybe adelman or iavaroni couldve done better..your team is built for run and gun, youve gots a bunch of young guys who are fast and runs like horses plus your leader is a young phenom, the only way to let these guys blossom is to let them loose..jeez..your coach tries to hard to imitate the system that he learned under popovich..these days, defense no longer wins you games in the nba, unless of course if you have an iron clad system like that of san antonio's and utah's, just take a look at the lakers, jackson had to adjust to his players coz only a few of them could decipher the triangle offense...i say get rid of your coach and hire someone new...

I say coaching is the least of our worries... I just find myself not investing emotionally in this team due to craptastic ownership.

Still, I will watch from afar and hope for the best...

It is the ownership's plan to make the fans apathetic so that their exodus will be without much fanfare...

We just gotta hang on..and try to keep the interest level up as much as possible..don't give up!..Its OUR team, dammit..!

So we've lost (quite) a few?

Durant's improving. Jeff Green is playing some good ball. Wilcox is showing good signs. Wilkins is overachieving. Even Wally is shooting his trade value up.

What did we expect? We knew our guards were iffy and when we weren't delusional we accepted that our centers suck - so what's the problem.

This is a developmental year. Add a few nice picks and FAs and this team will be killing in two years time.

I let myself get sucked in today ... there were moments when I thought we might win a home game.

At least I rembered why Rashard got $50MM too much.

Wow, Rashard sucked just like he was still a Sonic. Maybe he feels bad for us?

Might as well leave the title to this post up there for a while - save re-typing it after every game. Re-building is a drag, but it ends eventually. Nice to see KD getting aggressive.

Jackson: "we were wandering around defensively and started doing some things I didn't like. It's the sign of a young team that's still unbridled and still undisciplined. I'm not happy with that game, but it was a win."

Whereas our coach seems to be happy with just about every loss. There's the difference between a coach that wants to win vs one that doesn't seem to care.

You sound more like PJ's daddy.

KD with 35?
Kurt Thomas with 18 rebounds??!
Watson with 11 Assists/1 turnover??
Sene with 1 foul in ZERO minutes???

Wow, that is one exciting box score.

Of course, the most important numbers:
Seattle 95, Pacers 93!!!

Well done. Wish I could've watched the game.
