Nerd Stuff

Are you like me? Do you check this site a couple times a day, just to see if Nuss has posted any fresh screeds against Steve Nash, Brent Barry, and other "savvy" ballplayers? Like me, do you get frustrated when you load up the site, only to discover the same dumb post about Chunkstyle's adventures in fast food at the top of the site?

Like me, do you wish there was a quick way to see if anything new has been added to the site without loading up the whole gosh-darn website?

If you are like me, then congratulations, you're a dork! Moreover, your wish has been granted!

The first thing you must do is download and install Mozilla Firefox. Once you've got it running, load up this page. THEN, look for the little orange button at the bottom right corner of the Firefox window, and click on it. A little menu will pop up that reads "Subscribe to Supersonicsoul"--click on that sucker!

What that does is create a sort of uber-bookmark that you can expand to see the most recent posts to the site. Looky there--Mr. Glass is still at the top. But as soon as Webmaster Paul posts his next hi-larious bit of commentary involving Danny Fortson's backside, it will appear, like magic, at the top of the list. Clicking on it will take you directly to that post.

Ain't that a time saver?! This works with a lot of blogs. You may never visit the main page again!

... Okay, I just heard from the Webmaster. He says you should definitely visit the main page as often as possible, and what's more, click on the ads you see there. A lot.

That's it for this week's edition of Nerd Stuff. We now return you to your regularly scheduled jock talk.

I did the RSS feed for an older version of the site on my work computer and it never loaded. On my current home configuration I don't seem to see an icon at the bottom for RSS...

Huh, yeah... come to think of it, it never worked on my work computer either. If only I was a super nerd, I could figure out what's making it screwy. Nuts!

did anyone see Steve Kelly's article about Mac10? it makes me even more worried than i was before about how weiss will coach and what kind of results itwill create. it seems he will just do whatever the front office says, which is just what those guys wanted apparently. my question is why do they want to go back to the run and gun style of 2 years ago when that obviously did not work, rather than stick with a more structured offense that got us to the 6th game of the west semi's? i wish nate all the luck in the world, only i don't think he will need it. he will have that talented bunch in protland playing the right way in no time and it will be rip city all over again. i just hope the sonics do not slip away with the new leadership/playing style. let's just say i am concerned. go sonics! and let's get a post about some BBall, how about the sonics first preseason game, first time against nate, kelly's article (read it on seattle times web site), amare's hurt-does that give the sonics the shot at the second seed....?

great site, keep up the good work

I think the best that the Sonics can hope for is a win total somewhere in the 46-47 game range and the 6th seed. I actually think that the T-Wolves will be back big-time this year, and possibly win our division.

If you think about it, though, the 6th seed really is a good place to be. If you are the 6th seed, yopu get matched up against the division champ with the worst record. Remember in the East last year where the 4 seed had a better record than the three seed? That could happen again this year. I see it kind of shaking out like this...

1. SA
2. Phoenix
3. Wolves
4. Rockets
5. Dallas
6. Sonics
7. Lakers
8. Clips/Memphis

I would LOVGE seeing a first round Wolves-Sonics matchup. That would be great.

Oops! All you SOnic fans bring the LOVE... not the LOVGE...
