So, is it too early to start looking forward to next season? You know it's bad when I tune out a game to flip through a cookbook I got for Xmas.

We're only 2.5 games out of first place after last night right? Maybe Flip will keep up this good play just long enough for someone to be stupid enough to trade for him, and we'll turn it all around....or not.

It's not too late ... if we fire Weiss-guy and hire Paul Silas to start some much needed ass-kicking.

They're talking Earl Watson for Flip, Cleaves, Moore & Reggie. That's a lot of $$ for a back-up PG.

Yeah it is. I believe it was Cleaves OR Reggie though, not both, and also Brunson would be thrown in. No way I'm giving up Reggie to the Nugs who desperately need big men now that Camby's out. They can have Mikki though. We would have hellza space then, and could sign... Will Conroy? Alex Scales? A big, unskilled, shot blocker from the D League? Lets not forget that there is always a Billy Ray Bates out there.

Wow, a Billy Ray Bates reference! Is that when he was playing in the Philippines. That brings back memories for me. New Year's wish: DEFENSE and a coach who's willing to get on these guys.

Murray makes $895K this year, Watson just signed 5 year $29mill contract. Pretty hefty, although I liked him when he was here last. Of course, he left as a free agent because he didn't want to be a back-up PG, IIRC. No way I give up Reggie right now. He may well be playing for a contract, but I like what he's doing. Seems to be improving each season as the other guys get more comfortable giving him the ball.

I consider myself a hardcore Sonics fan.

That being said, I will burn my Sonics Authentic jersey if they throw Reggie in on a deal when they don't have to.

Don't get me wrong, I love Earl Watson's game. All offseason I was screaming for the Sonics to sign him.

Reggie is the only Sonic player who consistantly shows effort and improvement. What kind of message does it send to the coaches, team and the fans if you just throw Reggie in on a deal when (trust me) you don't have to.

They wouldn't really give up Reggie in that deal would they? Giving up one of the best rebounders in the game (yeah, he's been scoring lately, but wait until everyone realizes he goes left every time) for a backup pg seems pretty retarded, even by Sonics standards. Now if they like this Flip character....they can have Brunson's foot too. Flip managed another passable game by the boxscore....hopefully the Nuggets brass weren't actually watching the game.

Reggie is the only player the Nuggets would want in a trade. No one else makes a whole lot of sense for a team desperate for big guys after a rash of injuries to Camby (big surprise there) K-Mart and Nene. Isn't Reggie a free agent this year? This article says Ray and Rashard think it's a good idea to dump Murray. Now that's supporting your teammates.
