Guess who's won TWO IN A ROW?!

Seattle SuperSonics' Chris Wilcox dunks over Los Angeles Lakers' Chris Mihm in the first quarter of an NBA basketball game at Staples Center in Los Angeles Sunday, March 12, 2006.<br />(AP Photo/Branimir Kvartuc)Seriously, guess. OK, it was the Sonics, who beat the Lakers 120-113 on Sunday. The biggest surprise, of course, was that Ray Allen played defense (!), holding Kobe to 22 points (1-13 from 3-point range. Ouch!). Check out the gruesome boxscore here if you dare!

Also, tune in later today for an exciting new comic from Chunkstyle!

I don't know about you all, but I'm really starting to enjoy watching these guys again.

Go Sonics!

Heckuva shot, there. I never thought that Chris Wilcox and Earl Watson would make me more excited to watch the Sonics, but I'm with you, man, I am really amped to see the Sonics again. Not spend-$200-million-on-a-new-stadium excited, but still.

I like Collison a lot, but I gotta say I think he's lost that starter job.

Wilcox and Watson should be starters at thier respective positions. Luke is done, Watson is better, just flat out better. Luke had three years to make the job his, play some defense, gain some weight, and not get punked everynight. He did none of the above so he's done. Earl, it's your team bruh. LET'S GO SUPES.

I agree with biggie. Collison and Ridnour are second-unit guys for sure. Here's something that will piss you off, Biggie: here in Ballard, there's this huge billboard of Ridnour (I think it's for Pepsi or something). A scrub averaging a single-single every night gets a big promotional deal? Hmmmm . . . I wonder why they'd do that?

Nuss said...

Actually, Frodo is averaging 11 ppg and 6.8 apg. His assists mark is currently 9th in the league, better than guys like Bibby, Arenas, Parker, Mike James, and others.

I'm not saying Luke's a superstar, but he's not a crappy player, either. Bag on Ridnour for his defense all you want (and even that's hard to quantify), but the man can run an offense.

Those Oregon Ducks stick together thru thick and thin. Don't nobody say anything about Ahmad Rashad in front of Pete.

And yes, that comic is on its way.

Biggie said...

Isn't Ahmad Rashad a husky?

Nuss said...

Ah, Biggie, you reveal your true lack of Pacific Northwest History with that question.

What about Dan Fouts? Or Steve Prefontaine? Ken Kesey? Or James Ivory? And all you've got is Sonny Sixkiller? Pshaw.

No biggie, old Bobby Moore is a Duck. He's a prick as well, but he's still a Duck.

Chunkstyle23,

Where's this comic man? I wanna see the Fortman. His tag line could be; "I'll be back 'pause' in a couple months 'pause' maybe 'yawning' if I feel like it."

Biggie said...

Well, I wasn't sure. I just know I always wanted to do his wife when I was young. So that should have let me know he was a duck. Sonny 6killer has the most badass name ever.

QDaily said...

Biggie,

Maybe he should change his name to "Sonny 6killa" now, THAT would be the most badass name EVER!

I have to disagree on Luke.... man I like the dude but he does NOT run the offense well. He pushes the ball up to the free throw line, only to back it out it out every time. Watch how the offense stops moving when he runs the offense... its awful!
His first year here he didn't do that. He had so much more J-Will/white cholcolate shit in his game when he was a rookie (more turnovers too, however...) I blame McMillan for slowing him down and making him play half-court offense too much last year.

He needs to grow some nads and play more agressive. There is nothing stopping him except himself.

Biggie said...

No what's stopping him is the fact that he's a duck.

Biggie said...

Nuss,

You guys didn't even get invited to the NIT? Wow, that's bad. Brooks is suspended for the game next year in Washington too. Ouch.

qdaily said...

Doesn't that dude play for the Saints?

Biggie said...

Not anymore (Drew Brees), he's a freakin stud though playing college basketball, and NFL football simultaneosly. lol, it's a different dude.
