The Great Depression

Even mighty vikings can cryI try not to take sports too personally. It's not a healthy way to live. Why invest emotionally in something that A) is bound to disappoint and B) has no emotional investment in you?

And yet, I continue on, like some kind of battered house wife who repeats over and over again "He's a good man!".

After 11 eleven losses in a row, the Sonics are almost assured of finishing with the worst record in franchise history. With the league in cahoots with Bennett to steal the team away, what's a Sonics fan to do? Pray for a post-Easter miracle? Be content with re-watching tapes of the 1996 playoffs?

(To top things off, my fantasy basketball league team didn't even make the consolation bracket this year--and it's MY league!)

How are you dealing with this Super sub-Sonic season? Watching other teams? Getting outside more? Booze? Supersonicsoul wants to know . . . and know quick, before we jump into the Sound.

Soccer! I've been watching lots and lots of soccer on TV. I'm a huge fan of Liverpool over in England and this is the first season I've not missed a game.

If you've sunk a lot of time in the pasttime, it is hard to stop yet with some chance of 2 more years or perhaps a longshot solution.

2 years ago Schultz still owned and hadn't announce the sale yet.

Scaling back and adjusting attitude makes sense, letting go that's a tougher call.

I live in L.A. now and the Lakers are looking like a contender. Kobe is arguably the best player in the game. And I couldn't be more miserable. Do something Seattle! Start smoking in Restaurants and bars as protest! Egg Clay Bennett! Don't make me a Laker fan. Please

If you haven't already and want to, that is.

I recognize lots of fans have done their part, including folks scatter around country and globe. Thanks to all who chip in.

I think Seattle area fans have been pretty active as well and was sticking up for that fact too.

Unfortunately it is largely in the hands of the politicians, businessmen and the fates.

Tip of the cap to SOS leaders and all who joined in the actions at tonight's game.

And to the mainstay Sonics blog writers of this site and others who provide news, opinion and generously and ably host and lead spaces for Sonics fans to follow and discuss their team.

I imagine the night's activities will get more coverage tommorrow but for those reading tonight here are some links to what some Seattle fans did to voice their opinion:

Am I just blind our is there not any single word about the Save our Sonics actions on the Sonics' official site?

The first "our" was meant to be an "or", of course.

I'm feeling your pain, obviously not as great as you, but it hit me that last night might be the last game between Portland and Seattle.

Why would Bennett want to save OUR Sonics? He had no intention of ever keeping them in Seattle.
